The Need to Automate Your Marketing Process

Most marketing tactics you see in Web3 projects are extremely labour-intensive and unscalable.

Founders mainly collaborate and sign partnerships, not necessarily using automated tools to scale their user base.

Airdrops are used as a medium for providing rewards to loyal community members and new users you want to acquire.

You see quests in which community members post about your product, participate in your campaign, or do a tutorial, and they get a reward for that.

You see a lot of work with influencers, and everything has to include a brief and some processes, which is labour-intensive.

The thing is, what works fairly well in the early stages of your project may not work when you’ve established it.

You could use labour-intensive tactics to acquire the first 1,000 to 5,000 users.

But it becomes more expensive if you want to go higher than this.

You find out that the more money you invest in marketing, the lesser ROI you get.

At this point, you need to change your marketing tactics by automating the process and reducing costs.

Here are two ways to automate your marketing tactics.

1. Invite code: Encourage users to use a referral link before using your protocol for the first time.

This is important when you are at the pre-token launch stage.

When incentives are added to the invite code, people will share your project more with their friends.

Influencers you pay to shill your projects will automatically do that without any payment involved.

Community members will share their links and educate their audience on how to use your protocol instead of you doing that.

2. Run crypto ads: Social media companies no longer frown at crypto ads compared to what they used to do around 2017–18.

This option is best only when you want to scale your marketing efforts.

A new protocol without traction or existing community members and influencers shouldn’t start running an ad yet.

Go the labour-intensive way first.

Which other way can Web3 projects automate their marketing tactics to reduce cost?
